The rim cabin at Palo Duro was amazing. Getting to stay in a cabin built by the CCC was a bucket list item. It is very private and completely fenced in. There is a chain link fence along the rim. It is safe if you have kids. The cabin sleeps four. There as a nice breeze on the rim. My mom and I enjoyed relaxing outside after a long day in the canyon.
Historic cabins built in the 30s by CCC. Updated, but still need a bit more upkeep. Has AC, but one of the units wasn't working. Bathroom is tiny. Views are MAGNIFICENT! You feel like the park belongs to you when staying here.
