BEWARE! Dan Lauterbur can not be trusted. He won't account for our $31k downpayment we paid for him in March, 2024 for an addition. He said they could start end of April or May. He even had the nerve to ask for more money! After many calls about starting our project, in the middle of August he demolished an exterior wall leaving our house exposed. 3 weeks later he tacked up a blue tarp after I contacted him of weather concerns. Dan owes my husband $5,400 for HVAC work he had no complaints about. Been a year and he never paid us. We're pregnant with our first child and really need this income. We've contacted him multiple times and he never paid us. I can't believe people like this exist. I will remove this review once we get paid. We even told him we really need our money for our baby and no response.

Looking @ google reviews, seems Riley & Rees clients have been pleased with their remodels for the most part, but in reality, his subcontractors are actually completing the work for the satisfied customers. Riley & Rees doesn't deserve the praise for work that isn't theirs, especially when he doesn't pay the subs. I have done after construction cleaning for them, and in almost EVERY instance, invoices reached 150 days before payment was made.
