Nice campground with beautiful scenery. Just understand that the water level of the lake might be very low or dry. In Oct 2025, over half the lake was dry. The other half was extremely low so if you are counting on boating activities, call the park before confirming your plans.

We loved this campground!
Campground was nicely groomed and clean. The only reason I did not get five stars is because there was very little water in the reservoir, making the photos of the area misleading
Good sized reservoir in a cool setting. Water levels were done but still had a great time spearfishing. A lot of small mouth, large mouth and crappie bass, as well as northern pike, bluegill and perch. As of 2025 only pike can be hunted in Rifle Gap Reservoir.
