I would not recommend Brett Riegel. We were charged a lot of money for very little help from him. He didn't return phone calls or keep us updated. When we were finally able to speak to him, he didn't even remember the details of the case or who we were. The last phone call we had with him, he hung up on us when he didn't like what we said. Super unprofessional. Don't waste your money! A public defender would have done a better job.

AVOID, fake positive reviews on Avvo!! Don't be fooled by the FAKE positive reviews on that site, attorneys pay Avvo hundreds of dollars every month to not post negative reviews on their profile. When you post a negative review, it is reviewed first and they will refuse to post it even if you follow the rules. I was fooled by Riegel and Avvo, I want to file a complaint but nothing will probably happen.

The consultation alone was $200, trial cost was crazy expensive but I paid because I had heard good things and wanted the best outcome. Unfortunately, they were wrong, Brett was totally unprepared at the trial. Spent thousands on Brett only to be found guilty. Because Brett was unable to make a deal with the DA's office for a plea agreement, we had to go to trial.
