My 79-year-old mother spent $21,253 with Riecke Mechanical for a new HVAC system in December 2023. Her old unit was installed after Katrina. I contacted them to service my whole home generator (listed on approved contractor list). Turned out they can’t spell generator much less fix them. The original battery had corroded and they replaced the battery and the terminal connectors. They used cheap connectors and no anti-corrosion pads. 8 months later, the generator quit working and they diagnosed the problem as being a bad controller board. A service call was scheduled yet I was never contacted and the technician did not show up. Communication and timelines is lacking from this company. Other options may be a better choice.
