Nice Service, But.... This mother of the bride needed a special bra to wear under the gown I had made. I called Ridgewood Corset Shop first to find out if they had my size in a longline strapless, and was assured that they had a selection for me. Then travelled all the way over there from Rockland Cty, only to find they did NOT have my size! The person who had advised me on the phone was not "experienced"! Unhappy customer I purchased a long line bra for my wedding here. My wedding was cancelled and when I went in and asked if I could exchange the bra for something else because my wedding was cancelled, the owner refused to allow me to do so. He is a complete jerk with no customer service skills. I will never shop at this store again and I recommend no one else shops here unless you want to be treated like garbage. This place will be out of business in no time now that it is being run by this man.
Been in Business Forever! ...Well perhaps not forever, but the Ridgewood Corset Shop has been catering to customers since the 1930's. It relocated to North Maple Avenue in case you can't find it at the above address. I visited the Corset Shop while on the hunt for a bra to wear beneath my wedding gown. This is a very traditional shop, with an aura of classic style and comfort. Great selection If you are looking for a bra or other undergarments for a special dress or anything like that, this is the place to go! They offer so many varieties of corsets and other bras. The staff is fantastic at helping you find the perfect fit. They also offer a wide variety of stockings and tights as well as pajamas and other intimate wear. they also carry some sweaters and other articles of clothing. Good experience I was having problems finding a bra that provided support and didn't 'rub' in all the wrong places. I went to Ridgewood Corset Shop and they spent lots of time measuring me and finding the correct bra. They know what they are doing and won't sell a bra that isn't 'right'. They had a large selection in the 'bigger cup sizes' and overall what I bought was wearable and comfortable. I recommend it if you have the time to be fitted and try on bras until you find the one you love.
Unpleasantly surprised with this store! One would think that with a name like Ridgewood Corset Shop that would have dozens of choices of corsets right? WRONG! I recently went into this store looking for a corset and was brought two to try on. I had asked for a specific type of corset and was told they didnt have any, they also only offered the corsets in black or white, what about nude etc? STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE I recently bought a corset to wear at my daughters wedding at Ridgewood Corset Shop. The saleswoman who helped us did not appear to know what she was talking about and gave us incorrect information about an undergarment my daughter was interested in. If only the owner were nice! I recently went into Ridgewood Corset Shop, after being referred by a friend, and though the woman at the front desk was nice, the owner, whose name I think was Grant, was really rude. It was unbelievable. I don't understand how someone who is supposed to cater to women's needs could be so short with people. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
