I had a terrible experience at the emergency room at Waconia Hospital. I arrived with severe abdominal pain and was made to wait for over an hour without meaningful assessment or pain control. The pain was so intense that I ended up lying on the floor and passed out while waiting. When I came to, no one seemed aware that this had even happened. I visited the ER on 11/4 after being referred from urgent care due to severe abdominal pain, suspected appendicitis. The experience was very frustrating. When I arrived, there were about five people in the waiting room. I ended up waiting for three hours, during which time I saw several individuals who seemed to be in much better condition than I was being taken back. 07/21/25: Was sent to ER, by Urgent Care, to be seen for a pulmonary embolism. I was triaged with an EKG and was told to sit in the waiting area, with JUST a gown on. We waited for more than three hours. When I finally asked about the position in line to be seen, they couldn't tell me. The girl with the headache was seen before me. I left the ER without being seen by a doctor. I am going to Two Twelve Urgent Care tomorrow. This is for a blood clot for CS! We left. Edited 7/22/2025 Still in tremendous pain. My family has had a slew of ER experiences. This is not a flex 😆. This is the 1st time in which I had excellent care from every employee I came across, from the front desk staff to nurses, doctor, assistants, MRI tech. No wait time, no errors, no miscommunications, all great bedside manners. They listened to all of my concerns and they were extremely thorough with the care they provided. The nurses were so kind and caring. I didn't appreciate the physical therapists who were laughing outside our hospital room about the walker we were being given to take home. Unprofessional and absolutely no empathy for the situation we were in.
