This place is strictly about money! I would not bring anyone that you care about to this facility. The staff don't help those in need, they judge those in need and speak down to their clients (they call them patients). The staff that are supposed to help these individuals, actually do not have any empathy or compassion for the clientele. People come to RI for a myriad of reasons seeking help and they do not receive it. They actually use co-ed housing to house their clientele. The place has absolutely NO STRUCTURE!!! Please st... read more

Do not take your loved one here! The entire staff is rude and cold. There is little to no communication and they are violating my HYPPA rights but not giving me copy of the paperwork that was signed or access to my daughters chart. I am in a fight to get her out and so far they are refusing even with the police at my side. worst thing I ever could have done was take her here.

If only I could give negative stars. DO NOT take anyone you care about here. Ridgeview is about getting insurance money & drugging people.

i’m a teenager. and i was admitted for being suicidal. they made me worse. this was back in november, and i’m just now getting the courage to write about it. it was unbelievably toxic and all the staff cares about is money. don’t go here. don’t send your child here.

Questionable Ex The best way that I can help you is to say to you: If you're seeking understanding and the coping skills to handle your emotional problems by actually working with a qualified and experienced therapist, then Ridgeview Institute not the place for you to achieve this understanding. However, if you merely want some psychotropic drugs to give the illusion that you don't have a problem, or have a lay person (non-professional, high-school drop-out, and GED graduate offer you "counselling/therapy; then, Ridgeview in... read more

Don't ever send anyone to this facility. I was repeatedly drugged beaten and brutally RAPED by a large over weight African American male attendant after being held there against my will because of an accidental antidepressant over dose. They repeatedly locked me alone in a room with this man. I have photos showing the beating, Have filed with the police and attorney. Ask others who have also experienced this to also come forward. This place is a cesspool of abuse. State of Georgia supports this abuse by forcibly sending any ... read more

For the negative comments I will say this; do we live in a perfect world? Nope. Is ANYONE perfect? Nope. Is their heave on earth? Nope. Is life fair, perfect...NOPE! With that said; I lost my career, had serious Afib requiring 5 1/2 hour heart surgery and so strung out on Xanax for 6 years...any more nerves burned off, I would be dead. Then, my teenage son died horribly driving on black ice...4 kids walked away...mine obliterated. Then told by counselor I could not 'fix' my wife. I was despondent, drinking to numb the pain, ... read more

I agree with a couple of the poor treatment comments listed, We experienced first hand the amount of Harsh Treatment the entire Facility is staffed with, when we got there and was placed in a room for admissions we should have gotten up and walked out, bugs crawling on the floor, rooms not as clean, and Oh God the nightmare began, we felt that this was a safe place to leave our Family member only to find out that all of the Goals were to medicate and receive insurance payments. The worst treatment ever, we were told that our... read more

Today I went to the Ridge View Institute in Smyrna, GA to get help with my depression problem that I developed after I fell down a flight of stairs on August 26, 2015. I asked to be admitted to have my medications adjusted to help me deal with stress and depression. I hit my head and broke my jaw, messed up my teeth and am now being fitted with braces which my landlord will not help me to pay for. This is making me highly depressed and because I cannot eat properly and this has cost me to lose almost forty pounds. While at R... read more
