A deeply disappointing experience at the emergency waiting room in Maple Ridge. You can’t feel more helpless than sitting in this emergency room for over 7 hours no communication, no updates, and seemingly no urgency from the staff. It’s not just the wait it’s the complete lack of compassion or care. When you’re in an emergency, you expect at least to be acknowledged, but here, you’re just another number in a broken system. Something needs to change.

I recently had an emergency appendectomy at Ridge Meadows Hospital and I’m incredibly grateful for the care I received, especially from the nursing staff. From the moment I arrived at the Emergency Room, everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. The initial waiting time was reasonable, and once I was seen, everything moved quickly. Went to RM ER a few days ago, and as a chronically ill person who’s been to the hospital often, the wait time wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. We were in and out of the hospital within less than 4 hours. Staff were very kind. The ER doctor - Dr. Miller was really nice. He was patient, efficient and even did a follow up call a few days later about a result and asking how I was. Caring doctors are the best kind. A photo of my service dog as we patiently waited to be called in.

Absolutely disgusting, just came down to get my cast off, been her 2 1/2 hours and they still do not know how long it will be, and I cannot make an appointment, I asked if I could go to the cast clinic I was told no I need to wait and see the Dr., our health care system is totally broken. Also my sister is in here it took them three months to figure out what is wrong with her, this whole time she is talking up a hospital bed, I could go on and on. Seriously why could I not just make a appointment

Overall a good experience. Dr and all staff are very nice. It can get busy but just be patient and the Dr will see you. It’s still one of least busy ER in the lower mainland.
