Was lied to immediately. Asked if there was a physician on site and was offered telehealth. When I asked if there was a physician in a near by town. I was told to drive to Ottawa, which is an hour away, physicians are available in Kempville 25 mins away. Ignorant. Will go out of my way to avoid spending any money at the Merrickville Pharmacy.
Up until about a year ago this place has been great. I was here since I was 8 years old so 18 years and they can’t keep staff, I’ve been switched to 2 different practitioners in less than a year. The latest Nurse practitioner I had was super rude to talk to and made it feel as though it was more of a business transaction to get healthcare. When I tried to ask their management to switch me to a different staff member they refused and advised me to either tell my provider how I felt or to go on healthcare connect. Without a doubt the WORST health center. Incompetent staff and doctors. I’ve seen other people writing reviews of doctors getting referrals wrong, taking two weeks to refill prescriptions and being generally rude. My experience has been the same with this place. PLEASE DON’T GO HERE
This place is more than your average health centre. My wife and kids have been fortunate enough to be patients here for over 15 years. As we both developed health issues in the last 6+ years, I can’t say enough how thankful I am for their support and services that they offer. They go out of their way to find specialists, follow up with them without prompting to ensure that you are on their waiting list lists and push for you to get seen sooner.
