Great technician, but questionable pricing practices and lack of paperwork. I hired Richter Heating and Cooling for a 1.5-ton central AC install. Over the phone on July 23rd, Tim quoted me $4,500 due to the new refrigerant requirements (up from a $4,100 quote in 2025). However, on the morning of the installation—after unloading the equipment at my property—Tim informed me the price was actually $5,100, claiming he never gave the $4,500 quote. Richter installed a new high effciency furnace and AC unit. He knows what he is doing and gave a competitive price. The furnace and AC were installed and working within 2 weeks from the estimate acceptance. Skip did the installation and stayed on the job each consecutive day untill finished. Will be hiring again for any future HVAC needs.
