RUMC's ER is a subpar at best. I only go there because of its proximity to my home. Each time I have brought an elderly family member here, the quality of care and even the cleanliness have seemed to declined more. On my last few visits, we never saw a doctor--only what appeared to be a youngish PA responsible for the entire floor. I had a very alarming experience going to the ER during a severe dental crisis. My tooth had cracked, and while I was waiting for dental treatment, the pain became unbearable. The pain on the right side of my head was completely crushing. It honestly felt like a miracle that I survived it. I went to the ER three times in one weekend because the pain was so severe.
