Discovered a precious gem last night: The Richmond Symphony Orchestra in Richmond, Indiana! Heard fine performances of off-the-beaten-track works of Honegger, Saint-Saens, and Dvorak!
It is absolutely wonderful to have a professional symphony right here in Richmond! Whether or not you are familiar with classical music, you will enjoy these concerts. They play a variety of styles and feature soloists as well. If you have children, you can go before the concert and watch them warm up. Finally, the RSO provides educational programs with the schools, exposing children to the arts.
My family and I always enjoy attending the performances held here.
The Richmond Symphony is one of the best kept secrets around. Every concert is amazing. The variety of music is great too.
