It’s hard enough dealing with the loss of a loved one but shutting the power off to their residence should not be so difficult. A simple phone call. You want us to go on line and fill out a form and send u a copy of who I am plus a copy of the death certificate! Wow. You know you don’t get a death certificate that fast. So now you want us to take more time so you can charge for electric not being used. Way to take advantage of people. In reading the previous reviews I wonder how many people are taking their own problems and projecting them on RP&L. The power rates are far below the national average and are even some of the lowest in the country. That seems like a big win. Being a municipal provider, it is not run like most other companies, shareholders are not pushing for profits. These people are my neighbors and the dollars I pay are staying here in my community.
