This is the place to go if you own an older (1987) home that occasionally requires plumbing replacement parts. With minimal plumbing skills, I have been able to fix an assortment plumbing issues from squirting water, dripping shower heads, broken toilet handles, etc. The biggest obstacle I had was locating the parts until I found Richmond Plumbing Specialties. They are my go to place for spot on customer service and parts.
I contacted this place with no real info, nothing but a picture of a 60+ year old shower stem. They worked with me to locate the part, found it, then offered up info on how to possibly fix the old one. Thanks to them I got my shower working correctly with no money at all. Very grateful and when a new plumbing need arises they will definitely be who gets my money.
I’m a serious do it yourself kind of person who prefers to purchase supplies from small vendors. I normally find them to be helpful and friendly. So when I needed a specialized part I bypassed the prominent national plumbing supply chain and went for this mom and pop shop. The older gentlemen who “helped” me was rude and highly unprofessional.
