Had similar experience as others. Booked $140 a night months ago and got an email from Booking.com saying there was an error and the price was $500.00 but we could cancel free of charge. Didn't get a chance to as hotel cancelled before I got a chance. On their website they were sold out but full rate was $150.00 - don't risk booking here - obviously dodgy
Had same experience countless other having recently - had this booked for months, two studios for $140 each per night. Get an email from booking.com to say the accommodation have increased the price to $500 so I either pay or cancel. Looking in the accommodation website the price is still $140 per night!! Beware price gouging. Paid $128 for one night 8 months in advance then was told price had increased to $500 per night 2 weeks out from check-in date if I wanted to keep confirmed booking. Obviously I cancelled. Saw the place in the flesh when visiting Richmond and $128 per night is a ripoff. Go elsewhere is my honest recommendation. Dodgy proprietor.
Booked a room 9 months ago at $140. Then as my trip gets closer they email me to say they’re increasing the price to $500 and they’ll cancel the booking if I don’t accept the new price within 24 hours. I emailed them back asking for an explanation and they just straight up ignored that and cancelled it before it was even 24 hours. Seen on the reviews this has happened to a few people too I just wouldn’t bother booking with these and try somewhere else
Booked months well in advance through Booking.com but the day before we were leaving for our trip from mainland Australia, we got a message to say that there was a error and the rate was actually $500 night not $150. Needless to say we didn't want to pay the extra, so cancelled the booking and had to book in a different town. Not impressed. Wouldn't stay there ever now.
