I initially had some scheduling issues with Richmond birth and baby. I expressed to the owner Kristi of my concerns and she immediately worked out the staffing issue. She herself came and helped our family one evening as well. My baby was incredibly happy and Kristi also sent updates. She has been extremely accommodating when it comes to the needs of our family and completely understanding of any issues we have had. I highly recommend for postpartum services. I came home from the hospital with twins, and while they latched well there, we had no idea what we were doing at home. I was able to make an appointment and see someone within a few days of being home and they wasted no time once arriving to get down to business and go over what we could do to get these twin boys to latch straight to the breast. We had an amazing experience with Richmond Birth and Baby! Abbey and Kristi were our postpartum doulas, and they made our transition into parenthood so much smoother. They not only provided incredible hands-on support but also taught us so many practical tricks for soothing and caring for our baby. Their caring presence gave us confidence and peace of mind during those early weeks. We’re so grateful for their help and would highly recommend them to other new parents!
We took the Baby Basics Course with Kristi and it was wonderful. As first time parents, we wanted a class that was structured, informative, and hands on, but also anecdotal and left room for plenty of questions. Kristi hit all those points and more. It was great to practice on baby dolls, get feedback on technique, and know we had support (lactation counselling, post-partum doulas) if adjusting to new parenthood required it. I would highly recommend Kristi and RBB for classes.
