Poor selection of beers on tap and kinda dirty... doesn't give you that warm welcome sort of feeling.
Been to this pub numerous times and always seems very dirty, it could do with a complete makeover, the carpet and upholstery need a deep clean and the Deco needs a complete lick of paint as for the staff they need to go on a customer service course as they are lacking in customers skills. Ok if you're desperate for a gay bar but there is much better bars in the vacinity.
Apparently you need a passport or driving license to come here. I happened to have the latter, my wife didn't, and we were turned away because we couldn't satisfy the doorman's request to see our "country of origin". I am really sympathetic to peoples' anxiety following the horrendous events in Paris, but for a British couple in their 40s to not be allowed into a pub on a Saturday evening just because only one of them has documentation to prove their country of origin…. really???
Attitude and hassle free- more then can be said for other establishments in Richmond...
