Smoke-filled country bar Good grief, whatever you do, don't eat the food unless you want repercussions for the next few days. I'm surprised they can keep serving food here...I personally witnessed the cook smoking over the fryer in the kitchen and the health inspector must be blind. Anyway, the only reason it gets a second star is if you're looking for a smoky, country western rough and tumble dive with pool tables, well this is the place for you.

Richard's Food Is Really Good The person who posted the previous rating must not be a "regular" at Richard's. While mostly I have eaten the "basket" offerings and not the Blue Plate Lunch Specials I have never eaten anything at Richard's that was not yummy! His cheeseburger is one of the best in Mount Pleasant, topped only by Village Tavern's burgers. The fried shrimp basket is more succulent, crispy fried shrimp and french fries than I can eat.
