I was passing by Helena and found (and loved) this store. The owner was wonderful and had many interesting stories. I wish I could have stayed longer and talked to him some more.
The man who worked there was super helpful and welcoming. Helped me find exactly what I needed.
Fantastic collection with a salesman to match! I visit Mr. Van Nice every year when I visit from Wyoming. He always has the best jokes and stories, and there is never a shortage of knowledge coming from him. This isn't a place you should just walk into, purchase a book, and leave. You should spend as long as you can looking through the novels and having a conversation with Richard. He knows exactly which novels he has, and where they are in his store. Highly recommended for anyone searching for novels.
I've been buying books from Van for 15 years, even though I live in Salt Lake City. A conversation with Van should be on every bibliophile's bucket list.
