Best bedside manner, and extremely gifted in his field.
Dr. Schlenk operated on a pinched nerve on my uncle's neck. He was thoughtful, listened carefully to his concerns, and made him feel at ease. He did a great job of explaining the situation and all options and did a great job on the surgery.
Dr. Schlenk is by far one of the best, if not the best Neurosurgeons I have had the pleasure to meet and be treated by. He was ethical, thorough, empathetic and caring and made a scary situation much easier. Even if I had seen no improvement in my symptoms, the fact that he took the time to actually listen to me and treat me as a human instead of a chart, was worth it to me. He and his team are top notch and I recommend them to anyone, even if it's a long distance (I drove 6 hours from Kentucky).
