Dr. Alexander was great at appointments, though sometimes dismissive of my concerns about the birth, including my concerns that the baby was still facing the wrong direction in the days before I went into labor. He signed my birth plan and said he supported my wishes that interventions be minimized as much as possible. The office staff are very friendly and efficient. Dr. Alexander was friendly upon meeting him but never had time to answer questions. Apts were rushed. He was rude when I called after hours with significant swelling in my leg and another time when I called bc I had influenza at 14 weeks. I felt terrible for calling bc he was so short and had a rude tone on the phone. It would be impossible to express my gratitude for the care I received by Dr. Alexander during my recent twin pregnancy. Learning we were having twins was one of the great surprises of my life, and Dr. Alexander made me feel comfortable about it the entire pregnancy. He was caring, understanding, and always put my mind at ease. I desired to have a vaginal birth, and he is one of only a small few doctors willing to deliver one of the babies breech. Dr. Alexander is the absolute best OB that you will find. I can’t say enough good things about him and the care that I received. I was a very high risk twin pregnancy but Dr. A gave me complete confidence in his care and monitored us very very closely. He literally saved my life during my delivery while I was hemorrhaging due to placenta accreta. Even the delivery nurses told me how lucky I was to have had him in charge once things started to go south. His office staff is incredible as well!
He delivered all 3 of my children and was the best. Is very patient, very good communication answered all my questions.
I have been a patient of Dr Alexander for 30 years and he has my complete trust and confidence as my doctor. He is the upmost of any doctor I have known. He genuinely cares about his patients and I trus t his medical expertise to the fullest. What more can I say!
I highly recommend Dr. Alexander to anyone looking for an OBGYN. I had an extremely complicated pregnancy and delivery due to a condition I did not know I had until I became pregnant. Dr. Alexander saw me through every step of the way. On top of seeing me every week to check on the babys progress and health he referred me to the appropriate specialist, followed up on all of my appointments and talked with my other doctors. I had excellent prenatal care with Dr. Richard Alexander! Dr Alexander and his staff are very professional and were quick to answer questions I had either during my appointment or afterward via phone. I felt comfortable during my office visits and did not feel rushed. The office was timely with my appointments and the staff would call to notify me if they were running behind schedule or if the Dr had been called to a delivery.
