Dr J promotes a 'Quiet knee' recovery for knee replacement which really makes your recovery easier. Follow all instructions. Do what you are told to do. Day 3 after surgery still no pain meds needed. I took two pills since surgery thinking l would need it for movement in excercise. I didn't. I know there's work and discomfort in the PT ahead. Dr. Richard Johnston was AMAZING in how he explained everything. He even had a case with the actual parts he uses in surgery so I was able to totally understand what would happen in a knee replacement. I can't give enough praise to Dr. Johnston for his wisdom and excellent care. He answered every single question I had.
This guy did,a total knee replacement and 10 months later his partner had to do revision. He is the director of division of Orthopedic Surgery at Missouri Baptist Hospital. Br very careful with him. Personally, I think he is awful for what he did to me
Total knee replacement with Dr Johnston 2021. There was a problem of his own making. It was his to solve, I gave him a year but he seemed incapable of being able to doing so. As a result I sought help in another practice and following a revision surgery the problem was resolved. I was very disappointed in the surgery by Dr. Johnston and in his ability to fix the problem that he had created
Both hips replaced by Dr Johnston. Perfect results and pain is gone. His team is great too! Highly recommend for joint replacement surgery!
