I met Dr Holevas when I was admitted to the hospital for urinary retention resulting in severe hydrophrenosis. I was catheterized and told by Holevas I would have the catheter for 2 weeks and then to schedule a test in his office after I got out of the hospital. I tried for several weeks to get an appointment but never received a call back. Finally they returned my call and when I went in for my appointment after a month. Nothing was done. The doctor wanted to see me 2 days later and we scheduled an appointment. Before I eve... read more
I have been going to Dr. Holevas for several years. I believe he is a competent doctor but he never communicates with you after tests. If you leave a voice message his office never returns your call. Recently I had a test and kept calling for a month without response. Finally I happened to get the office to answer my call and asked what the results of my test were and they said he says I should go to a kidney doctor. He never called to explain the results and I find his practice of having you wait weeks upon weeks for test r... read more
I have been seeing Dr. Holevas since 2010. I have been on a PSA watch since that period of time. I have had 3 biopsies, the last of which showed signs of progression. I was referred to Dr. Paul Kim, Radiation Oncologist in Tustin. I cannot thank Dr. Holevas and Dr. Kim for pushing me forward. These two Drs. and the best I have ever seen. Their staffs are outstanding, alway very professional and they provide honest communication. I have completed my treatments with androgen blockers and radiation. I'm a lucky guy, Thank you, ... read more

Previous urologists told me its hard to tell if its a bladder issue or a prostate issue. They told me have surgery for the prostate so we can focus on the bladder. So I did a few months ago. When I explained my problem I made the mistake of mentioning that I also suffer from insomnia. He immediately concluded that my problem was my insomnia getting me up not my bladder and aske... read more
Unfortunately, I have a condition that requires lifelong monitoring, but the bright side is that my Urologist's office always makes me feel comfortable and reassured. Although it's a busy practice, the entire staff provides very personal service from the moment you sign in to the moment you schedule your next appointment. Dr. Holevas is thorough and truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to explain procedures in detail and makes sure that all your questions are answered to your satisfaction. His staff is the best!... read more
