Dr. Hinton is straightforward and honest, which I truly appreciate. He doesn't sugarcoat things—he tells you the hard truths, but always with the goal of helping you improve your quality of life. He takes the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand and gives you the tools and guidance you need to move forward. Most importantly, you can tell he genuinely cares. Your accomplishments matter to him, and he makes sure you know it. Highly recommend.

I was seen by Dr. Hinton in Sparks MD for both my appointments. My time with Dr. Hinton was good. He explained my X-rays, MRI, and my options for treating my right shoulder. Both appointments I arrived 15 minutes early. First appointment I waited 30 minutes and the second appointment I waited 55 minutes.
Dr. Hinton is very personal.
He repaired my ACL in 2009, which is still in tact in 2025. Unfortunately, I need him for thr other knee. He is still very caring, approachable, direct, honest, understanding, and professional! Dr. Richard Y. Hinton is truly the best. He's worked on the Ravens and that works for me! His PA-C, Jessica Hnatiuk seems great as well!
