Dr. Sumner is very thorough, never rushes through an examination, takes time to discuss the patient's questions, and is current with the practice of contemporary medicine. He is a caring and knowledgeable physician, and his staff has been with him for many years. I never have to wait in the waiting area for more than a few minutes to see the doctor. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Sumner in all respects.
I always feel like Dr. Sumner lacks a lot of qualities I expect in a family doctor. He doesn't really seem to be up to speed on medicine. He's confused about issues that other doctors seem to be very knowledgeable on. Almost like he's practicing medicine from the days when he first became licensed. On top of that, his bedside manner and listening abilities are pretty awful compared to other family doctors in town. No, I would not recommend him.
Dr. Sumner and his staff are top notch! The office is small but the efficient staff run it well. Doctor Sumner listens, is understanding, and is always thinking about what is best for his patients. I couldn't trust a doctor more...
Lady at the front desk was so extremely rude that I decided to pass on making an appointment. The doctor may be good, although I'm not sure, I never got that far. But since as a patient you mostly have to communicate with the front desk, it was not even worth trying. Poor first impression.
