I try very hard to empower my patients to take responsibility for their healthcare. I believe that Health Promotion and Prevention are vitally important to a patient's health and well-being. I encourage my patients to ask questions. I try in turn, to listen very carefully to what my patients are reporting, and I try to take their religious, personal, social, and cultural preferences into consideration. Run, do not walk. Check into the past of this doctor and you will find a history of problems in other states as well as California. He is dangerous.
I told Dr. Day a year ago, that I believed my husband (who was 64) had bradycardia because his resting heart rate had dropped into the 40's. Dr. Day asked him a few questions about his activities when he was young, then dismissed it as a strong heart. Four months later my husband's heart stopped at 7:30 AM. If the doctor had done his job, and run some tests, I believe my husband would be alive. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone who wishes to live.
Dr.Day Thanks for helping get my class A for the county of SLO your old school short and too the point and not a comfort doctor which is what I needed so thank you and your staff as well for being direct and not just giving me pills.
It is a priviledge to be Dr Day's patient. He is a knowledgeable, highly competent, caring family physician. He listens carefully to patient complaints, explains the need for any testing, and the reasons for his diagnosis. He does not hesitate to refer a patient to a specialist when doing so is necessary for the patient's health.
Richard Day, MD has a 3.4 star rating with 5 reviews.
