It looks like the job was well done but the Dr. never introduced himself, or initiated any conversation before or after my EGD. I had my glasses off and couldn't see too well but - wanting to make a connection of some kind before the procedure started/ anaesthesia kicked in - I called out (just loud enough to be heard) "Dr. Cascio!?". Did all the preliminary test &options like dietary changes for over 6 months; which is why I got the referral to speak with a specialist. Dr. Cascio gave me one option and what's going on and on about it. I asked for a second option. The second option did not require me to go under or anesthetic and I was comfortable doing it. Granted the second option could not test for as many things but could test for two of the possibilities he mentioned during the appointment. I don't really know how to rate him because I only met him after my procedures to get my results. Dr. Michael Piper has been my Gastro Dr for years so I thought I was making my appointment with him but evidently Google hasn't updated Dr. Piper's information. When I called I got all set up before I learned that Dr. Piper didn't work at that office. I met the Anesthesist and the Nurse before I went out and that was it. That was definitely a first! I have never had a problem with Dr Cascio. He always talk to you as if one is a part of his family. He don't sugar coat anything he tell you the truth of what can and can't be done concerning a diagnosis. I won't go anywhere else. I am very satisfied.
