Dr. Richard Powell was my dentist for nearly 20 years and my family and I loved him. His daughter, Dr. M. Brooke Powell, is now there and she is also great. Very thorough, strong attention to detail. That being said, the front desk staff leaves much to be desired. I was told that my boyfriend could become a new patient as long as he called and mentioned me (an existing patient) by name; when he called, he was told that new patients were no longer being accepted. Made a deposit for work I needed done..had an appointment scheduled which I missed being out of the country with a death in the family. Called to explain and reschedule only for the receptionist to be completely rude, kept cutting me off, and then proceeds to tell me they used my deposit for a no call no show when the amount of that fee was never disclosed. I’m a new patient. A person answers the phone when you call and they are courteous and prompt sending you emails. You can schedule an appointment easily and within a couple of weeks, not months. I went for my cleaning and the office staff continued to be polite in person. Dr. Powell was great and thorough. I’m so happy to have found a new dentist!
Wow, phenomenal practice with very efficient, friendly professional staff. I have gone through the need to find a new dentist due to changes with insurance, and I am very lucky to have found Dr. Powells Office. His daughter, Brooke Powell, was personable, knowledgeable, and comfortable completing emergency dental work on the first appointment. I am so looking forward to finally completing the dental work I need.
