My husband tried to talk to this doctor about a serious condition and he sent him to physical therapy without listening to his symptoms. My husband ended up in the hospital with a serious blood infection that affected his lower back and this doctor did not make time to listen to my husband and over talked him. My husband ended up in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks. Also, in the hospital he told another doctor that he thought my husband had cancer. This doctor relayed this message to my husband. Does not seem like good practice ... read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My mother saw Dr. Perkins for neck pain that was ongoing weeks following a slight head injury. At first he said it was likely just inflammation that caused slight compression. After insisting on imaging, he did an x-ray and diagnosed her with arthritis in the neck. A week later she asked him for an MRI that he was adamant she didnt need. After a heated debate and some patient shaming, he finally ordered the MRI, which found a large tumor on her brain stem that is cancerous. Steer clear.

I met with Dr. Perkins and was completely impressed with his knowledge, competence and willingness to spend the time with me to explain all the alternatives available to me.
