I have had two cervical spine surgeries from Dr. Richard Berkman. Both went well and I fully recovered to go 20 years without any problems.Now in my 60's I have a broken back and cervical narrowing I still have tests to be done but I am pretty sure there will be surgery.I trust this man with my life.Some described him as arrogant and in a rush.Yes he is but he's a top surgeon he has EARNED his arrogance.I would have an arrogant doctor that knows what he is doing than a wishy washy one to kiss my rear and do nothing. Richard Berkman is a talented doctor. His assistant, Amanda is a complete disaster…DO NOT SUBSTITUTE HIM FOR HER to save time….She’s a joke…Even when I made an appointment the receptionist understood Amanda was a joke…
If I could give a 0 star on this man I would. I saw him in March 2021 for a brain disorder that the brain tissue extends into the spinal cord. I was having lots of symptoms. He brushed me off and would not listen as to what my problems where. Only told me that most people don’t have symptoms and everything is fine that I didn’t need brain surgery. If I could put a zero I would. he’s very rude and unprofessional. Who likes to brag on himself he won’t listen to other doctors Opinions. If my dad didn’t have to have the surgery immediately we would of went somewhere else.
