We serve only the best USDA choice beef and grade A pork. All the meats are carefully seasoned and slowly smoked for up to 16 hours with hickory that comes from Missouri and East Texas, which is carefully bended with local oak to produce just the right smoke. I ate at Ribs yesterday and got the full size meat combo tray. While I enjoyed the ribs I noted the sausage was different and that the shredded meats were dry. In the past the food has been excellent. I was surprised by the change in quality. We asked for Texas toast as we had in the past but we're told it was no longer available. Loved the ribs and the hot links. Very large portions. The green beans were excellent as well!
The staff have been there for years! Even the really young ones. I've been there when they were slammed and still got the orders out on time., the quality of the food, the prep and proportions, the taste of the meal? Everything and more than you would expect from a BBQ! And the Green Chili Stew? Amazing...! And yes, I've been a regular there for a long time which means I do know the whole crew. They add soup specials that will blow your mind. Yep right here in little Cedar Crest..
Delicious brisket sandwich!
If you order the combo eat only half of it. Take the other half home for.dinner. this leaves room for blackout cake with a rasberry rum sauce.
I think the food is great - love the pulled pork sandwiches. Several salad options. Prices are reasonable. Service is top notch. Wait staff have been there for years and years. Atmosphere friendly and lively. Full bar with domestic and foreign beers on tap. Highly recommend!
