Keep your back straps and loins with you. I typically will butcher myself but time/space didn’t allow for this one. Dropped off a quartered mature buck. I knew better, but left the straps and loins with them for packaging. I asked for the straps to be cut in thirds as that’s how I do them. I got back 3 packages labeled “backstrap”, and combined weight are not nearly the entirety of a single strap from that animal. Pretty disappointing.
