My husband and I were in Kingston recently to see Sierra Ferrell and we stumbled upon this gem of a store and scored some great deals on 45-rpm vinyl and video. A very pleasant young lady working there took care of us. Not only is there music, but a massive collection of books! Cheers and love from New Jersey! We'll be back next time we're in the area! :)
great items always in store
I understand times are tough. I will say that I am happy Rhino Records is STILL operating...BUT...The new location is horrible! Downsized? That’s an understatement. It should also be noted that the ridiculous french fry shop smell invades the record shop & any temp over 65 degrees & you can almost feel the grease in the air (no, really it’s true) & you leave Rhino Records smelling like you were dipped in a deep fryer from hell. I enjoy visiting both the New Paltz and Kingston stores to browse through the new and used vinyl, CDs, and books. The owner is a gentleman and has a good eye (or should I say ear) for the best in all music genres. I also like the at-home feeling at his stores... it's the opposite of the cold and sterile mega-stores that have taken over our shopping experience. Good job Rhino!
Great shop always cool stuff to pick out ... with a kind and knowledgeable staff!
