I was expecting to have a good experience with Dr. Quan, but unfortunately left feeling disrespected. I sought his opinion after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease by another rheumatologist, hoping for his expertise on my complex case. Instead, I felt shamed for my weight and was told my pain is due to stress and being thin. It took months to get an appointment here. I scheduled at the very beginning of May when I lost the ability to use stairs within a week, was scheduled for the end of July at 9:40am. I show up, and they say my appointment is in October at a wildly different time. I then had to reschedule because the time they scheduled me for in October didn't work with my schedule, so I wound up seeing Dr Quan in mid-november. Bearing that in mind, Dr Quan was amazing. Everyone in the office was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. One of the best overall doctors' visits I've had.
I was told on my first visit that "the kitchen sink would be thrown at me" then "pealed away in layers" to identify a means of putting my Sarcoidosis in remission. Each treatment method recommended either cost me more money in co-pays or made my condition worse. Then I was told a PET scan was a necessity and it has cost me nearly $2k out of pocket. I do not trust Dr. Quan's treatment and patient care methods.
Dr. Quan has been my Rhematologist for a long time. He is highly educated and identified one serious issue I had which no one else could. He is very approachable, pleasant ,answers all questions! Jeannie
