Pay attention to the one star reviews, they exist for a reason. I have been seeing Dr. Monev for rhumatology. One thing he diagnosed myself with is fibromyalgia and promptly stated verbally and in writing that his office refuses to treat fibromyalgia. I thought that was strange. However, many months later, I am not surprised. I am suffering with chronic pain from arthritis (which he diagnosed me with, as well as the fibromyalgia, and gout). It is advisable to exercise caution when considering this rheumatologist, as they may provide a speculative diagnosis and recommend referral to another doctor, even in cases where ANA test results are positive.
Not normally a negative review person but jeez. It is not worth your time going to Dr. Monev. Even if there’s another doctor further from you, it would be worth it to see a rheumatologist who will actually look at you, listen to you, and treat you. He dismissed me as having fibromyalgia before running any tests, despite having an extensive family history of two types of autoimmune disorders, spent less than five minutes with me, barely looked at me, asked me one question the entire time then interrupted my answer.
