If you are looking for a classy hotel dont go here I stayed at the Rio for a week while my husband attended a physician's conference. Our room was large but was not very clean. The carpet had large stains on it. There was mildew in the shower. The towels smelled funky. The carpet outside of the room on the 7th floor of the Impanema tower was very filthy the whole time. RIO Love the Rio it's really fun around the Holidays. They have a great Christmas show for free and they also have good prices for hotel you could get room for less than 40.00 a night for Suite now bad.
Good buffet Very good seafood buffet. They have lobster. I did not like the way they cook it. But they are lobsters! They are $26 with a 10 dollar coupon. Rather expensive.
Great Action off the Strip The Rio is a fun hotel that is located off the strip. There is always something exciting going on here. They have their cocktail servers stop and do dance numbers or songs on raised platforms. You can watch this while you gamble. They also offer a free carnival show that is in the air. It is one of the best free shows in vegas. I recommend going to see Ron Lucas and the Scintas here. Both shows were two of my favorites in Vegas. This place is always alive.
Roomy Accomodations -- Fun Environment This is a fun hotel. We stayed there for several days recently. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well maintained. The rates are reasonable. They have several restaurants and a buffet that is delicious. It is a little off the strip, but I would highly recommend this hotel
Ok hotel My wife and I arrived for a late check in on Tuesday night the 31st and went straight to the front desk with only 1 or 2 people in front of us and the line moved quickly. The front desk staff was very courteous and efficient. Our reservation was just as we asked for(king, non-smoking room). We were on the 15th floor with a wonderful view and a very clean and spacious suite. For some reason or another they gave us a hanicapped room but everything worked the same as a regular suite.
