Unprofessional staff and terrible patient care. My friend was turned away while feeling very sick, ultimately ending up in the hospital. The office staff refused to coordinate with the hospital doctors, telling a social worker they were "too busy" to take calls. After being discharged, my friend arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find out the office had given it away to someone else. This clinic has several locations. The location on East 17th Street is excellent, the reception staff are polite, always helpful, and willing to explain things. The doctors are also very responsive and professional. Unfortunately, the location on Brighton was a complete disappointment. In a psychiatric clinic, where people with mental disorders in particular seek treatment, there is no place for rude people who treat you like trash. I just spoke with the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in my life. I think working as a secretary in the same clinic for eight years made her forget that she is, in fact, a secretary, not a doctor. She could have simply and kindly explained that a request for an emergency refill was sent to the doctor and that we need to wait for a response.
