On September 19, 2024 My 80th birthday was fast approaching and I decided to have a party for my friends and family. I wasn’t too sure how to arrange it. However, my daughter Wendy stepped in to help. I live at Trafalgar Lodge, a retirement home in Oakville. I rented the Skylight lounge at the Lodge for the event. . The biggest priority for my parents is walkability, and Trafalgar Lodge is located within historical downtown Oakville, steps from cafes, shops and Lake Ontario. But it offers so much more for my parents who moved in a few days ago. First of all, Ernest is incredibly welcoming and clearly enjoys interacting with staff and residents. Before my parents moved in, he had new carpet installed and their suite was painted. Then, my mother, who was recovering from pneumonia, needed a respite suite with meals nine days before moving ... read more

Our mother became a part of the Trafalgar Lodge family in 1999. Mom called it home, loved her life at the lodge and felt that she was part of the Trafalgar Lodge Family until she passed in November 2023. The residence is small, comfortable in nature and intimate where everyone is known by their name and cared for with the utmost respect. The entire staff are wonderful to all the residents. We had a wonderful chef led experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Joanne did a fantastic job with making us welcome. We had a tour of the facility and overall it was an awesome experience! We would highly recommend it.
