For the past 3 years, my mother has happily called St. Lawrence Place home. From the day she moved in, the entire staff have been attentive to her needs and interests. Whether it involves recreational activities, meals, special outings, maintenance requirements, health oversight, or housekeeping - they are all there to support Mom. I have witnessed the personal touches that staff provide each of their residents with genuine interest and respect. Our family wholeheartedly supports Mom's decision to make this place her home.
I wouldn’t want to put any of my family here the staff aren’t friendly, the food is cheap, you can’t give any residents any peanut butter if they asked for any for $4000 a month you could get a whole lot better accommodations
My father has been at St Lawrence Place for about 6 weeks and we couldn't be happier. We've had family in other retirement homes where they felt overwhelmed and intimidated by the size and 'glitz'. St Lawrence Place has a much warmer, home-like feel to it. Everyone knows each other, and the staff have done an amazing job including dad in activities and making him feel welcome and comfortable. My mom has been a resident at St Lawrence Place for about 9 months. Moving there from her own house was a big transition, but she is now settled and happy in her new home. She loves being on the water and close to the action of downtown Kingston. When we visited last summer, Mom was immediately taken by the relaxed atmosphere and human scale of SLP.
