Came here for a late bite. We ordered something simple so we thought it would be quick. NOOO... We sat idle for over 30mins!!! The waitor was mortified and couldn't explain... The manager playfully offered a half hearted apology... So disappointed by the level of service.
We stayed at the Marriott Marquis, and 2 of us decided go to Level 8 for drinks. Cocktail prices were around $23. I ordered an Old Fashioned, which I enjoyed for its strong alcohol taste, though my friend found it a bit too strong. She ordered Tribeca Gold Sour, a fruity mix with sweet & sour taste that was really refreshing. The ambience was good, not crowded during our visit, making it a nice spot to chill while enjoying the Times Square night view.
Nice staff, servers and bar tenders, but if you don't know how to make a drink, just say that, because I will be too embarrassed for you to send it back and instead, here I am writing a review to let you know I paid for a $25 drink that was just wrong.
We got food poisoning at this cafeteria-like restaurant and we never heard back from hotel management when we reported the incident.
Excellent cocktails and a great little escape from Times Square madness. It’s on the 8th floor of the Marriott Marquis but open to the public, which is very useful if you’re waiting for people after a Broadway show and don’t want to stand around with Spider-Man and Elmo.
