I’ve been a member here for about 4 1/2 years and wanted to recognize Tyler for the incredible job he does managing this gym. The facility is clean, organized, and welcoming, and the equipment is consistently well maintained. Tyler is professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in the members’ experience. I canceled my membership in person and then was still charged for the next month. I called to have this charge reversed and they said my membership was not canceled. They said they need to see proof from me that I canceled the membership. It’s not my fault if Retro Fitness does not provide proof, which they did not. During this phone call, the manager then said he would cancel the membership. And here is another example of not providing proof. Used to be decently full and all machines were available within acceptable waiting time. Nowadays, it is very crowded and hard to walk around in. Finding a machine/bench/area that isn’t occupied is a struggle. I have no idea why there’s three potential areas for training and classes that are basically closed off for the rest of the people paying for the gym whenever they decide to. All 4 stair master machines shut off during mid use today. All the cardio equipment is outdated . If it wasn’t for the friendly staff and pure convenience I would not come here … this is an everyday occurrence, yes the staff can’t simply unplug them and plug it back in . But I don’t pay for inconveniences and broken machines , I pay to work out and if I can’t do that there’s an issue . The rating is only 5 stars because I love this place and staff .
