I waited 5 years before posting this review because I wanted to make sure what was installed at my house in Pinecrest is high quality. It sure is! We have not had a single issue with the Venezia model retractable awning purchased May 2016 from the guys at Retractableawnings.com I also recall the the production time and installation date were all within the time promised. I really wish that Mr. ************* would have provided backup for his claims and 1-star review. He does not have any. Perhaps that is the reason why no reasons/backup was provided!! Living in New York, we were reluctant to purchase an awning online. However, with their 25 year warranty promise we went ahead with the purchase. After one year, the arm broke. When we reached out to them for replacement they came up with all sorts of excuses. They were nasty and wouldn't want to deal with us, only if we want to purchase new ones. It was an expensive lesson.

After thoroughly researching retractable awnings online we found Retractableawnings.com. Dealing with the owner Eric was a pleasure. He explained everything and answered all our questions in detail. Eric even provided us with two 3D renderings - one showing a striped fabric and one showing a solid fabric. We chose a striped fabric that truly adds some "pizzaz" to our house. Being from England I know a high quality retractable awning when I see one. I moved to Chicago from the UK and decided to install a retractable awning on my house. Very impressed with this company. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of options to choose from including motors, wind sensor, rain sensor and a sun sensor! Also, about 400 hundred fabrics to choose from. Most importantly the quality of the awning is excellent - very heavy duty with lots of certified testing and a 25 year guaranty.
