Brandywine takeover: One of the worst takeovers in history. A textbook example of how not to do it. Immediately cut personnel, staff left and not replaced, activities cut, environment declining, residents mostly left in front of TV all day. Would obviously not recomment. Moved my family member to another non-RUI facility.

I love Retirement Unlimited communities! They have amazing programs that help keep the residents engaged!
AVOID THIS PLACE AND ANY RETIREMENT UNLIMITED, INC PROPERTY. THEIR POLICIES ARE TERRIBLE AND TOTALLY NON-COMPASSIONATE. My parents have been residents at Barrington ay Hioaks in Richmond (a RUI property) since August 2022. My mother needed assisted living; however, my father is independent living.
