Wow, went through the whole booklet and there's absolutely nothing on volunteering, nor any interest in being environmentally aware. I guess once a person retires they don't care about anything but themselves and using up resources of what's left of a unhealthy planet by gas-guzzling travel and not caring about the environmental non-profit communities that they eventually leave behind... ...I put my booklet in the RECYCLE bin.
The Retirement Connection event that was set up for PeaceHealth Hospital social workers was a great experience. My colleague and I made valuable connections and enjoyed the engaging conversations. Thank you to the team for organizing such a wonderful event!
Their midwillamette guide is very out of date, has minimum hours per week for agencies that are wildly innacurate. that said, the people are very kind/helpful/responsive, and to have such a comprehensive list, even with incorrect information, is nice
