Dr. Sjaarda has been a tremendous help in treating my diabetic retinapathy. We have encountered more than a few complications, but Dr. Sjaarda has always been extremely helpful. Recently we tried a new intra-ocular med, called lucentis which seems to help a lot. This physician has a great bed-side manner and a tremndous wealth of knowledge and skill.
I had an undiagnosed retinal detachment from 4 months prior, he diagnosed me within 10 minutes and setup surgery for the very next morning. I have gone back for multiple followups and he is by far the best doctor I have been to for any ailment. Also one of the best retinal surgeons in the Baltimore/DC region.
I had an eye dilemma that had me in the emergency room. They couldnt diagnose, so they referred me to a Dr. Loeb, who then referred me to Dr. Sjaarda. They fit me in the very next morning even though I was a new patient, and Dr. Sjaarda was able to give me a diagnosis. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and the doctor was very personable and took his time explaining everything. Highly recommended.
