Dr Walter saved my vision! I had a retinal detachment and he performed the surgery. I remember the end of the vitrectomy when Dr Walter looked carefully at my eye, checking everything one more time and saying with confidence, ‘perfect!’ before covering the eye. I will always be grateful to him for his care. If you find the wait time at his office longer, know that he is worth waiting to be seen. He is outstanding at what he does and truly a hero to me.
This is an excellent practice for the treatment of retinal diseases. I have a chronic condition and started going there in 2012. I have found all the staff to be caring and efficient. Dr. Margolis is my physician and the takes the time to explain what he's doing and why he's doing it. Yes, the waits can be a bit long, but there is an increasing demand for the services provided by this practice. Had horrible experiences with Dr. Neuwirth. 3 eye surgeries later still couldn't see and after 2 of them ended in Hartford Hospital. I waited in the waiting room for my appt for up to 2 hrs. Not a hello or an apology, nothing. I found another Dr., and within 4 months, full visión is back without surgery and this Dr and the entre staff are kind, professional and empathetic. I've never waited for more than 10 minutes for my appt.
Good available parking. Their building is clean and beautiful. Arrived and checked in promptly. Waiting area was clean and comfortable. Nicely welcomed by the staff. Their staff is pleasant, organized and knowledgeable. After pre-testing the doctor promptly welcomed me, did his evaluation, and advised me of his findings l This was a very good visit. I would certainly recommend Retinal Consultants.
