Shame on West Coast Retina. If I could leave zero stars, I would. As a physician myself, I know what professionalism looks like — and this practice is a masterclass in contempt for patients. I have kept careful records of every interaction described below, and I stand behind each date. At every visit — in 2022, 2023, and 2024 — I handed over my primary and secondary insurance information, exactly as their office requested. The staff is great and Dr Chen is a knowledgeable physician. However, making someone wait THREE HOURS to be seen is disrespectful and terrible patient management. I had to incur an additional $100 uber expense home from my appointment because my daughter finally had to leave so she wouldn’t be late to class. Do better.
Well, they keep me from going blind, so definitely gonna give these folks five stars. But also, they are really nice and helpful people. Medicine is overwhelming and complicated but all of these people make it easy.
