I am in a blind study for late onset macular degeneration in Connecticut. I was visiting Sarasota area when I had an incident with the eye in question. With light flashing and floaters, I was worried I was going to lose my sight. Dr. McCann and the staff at Retina Group are outstanding professionals. From the warm welcome through every step of the process, I felt heard and understood during appointments. My treatment required several visits, and I felt a genuine caring about my eyes and my whole being from everyone in the practice. My eyes have stabilized, and I credit Dr McCann with saving my sight. Dr. Skopis is fantastic . He performed retina detachment surgery on me and I have been under his care since. He’s an excellent doctor with genuine compassion, caring and positive attitude towards his patients which is so encouraging and reassuring when you are worrying about your eye sight. Dr. George Skopis is Phenomenal!!! He's not just a wonderful surgeon, but his calm demeanor is his best attribute. He performed a Victrectomy procedure on me and everything has healed wonderfully. His cool & calm presence are very much appreciated. He takes the time to explain everything and is very thorough. Kudos to him and his kind staff. I recommend him 1000 times!
The entire practice (Dr McCann) and (Dr Skopis) whom I have personally been treated by - are absolutely the finest physicians in their field. 5 stars !
