I am not generally a review writer, but Rethink deserves a lot of thanks and recognition. It is a life saver. It is, truly, the most competently and compassionately staffed health facility my family and I have ever experienced. The entire staff - doctors, physician assistants, therapists, dieticians and administration - is highly skilled, responsive and makes my child feel comfortable and encouraged to improve. While I do believe the providers at Rethink care for their patients and try to promote healing, in the end the majority of the 5 months we spent at Rethink created more trauma then help. The office staff is friendly, but the approach to treating the eating disorder was "my way or the highway" and my daughter left every single appointment in tears. The people at rethink were very pushy, and often times caused more stress than help. They do not know how to deal with Avoidant restrictive eating even though they said they do, I genuinely believe they just wanted the paycheck. There wasn’t a single appointment my daughter came home from that she wasn’t in tears after. She often felt talked down on, pressured and unheard.
